At Leaf Water Farms, we are determined to bring you the healthiest and purest produce using organic seeds and fertilizers, filtered water, and perfectly timed harvest.  All our seed are non-GMO and there are no synthetic offerings used in our processes.  That means no fungicides, pesticides, herbicides or any other chemicals that are not natural.  We see this a a differentiator and hyperlocal benefit.

Most produce in New England comes from afar.  We applaud the local companies helping to buck this trend.  We aim to join them in bringing another option for some of the healthiest produce in New England.  

Distance is the enemy of freshness.  About 90% of the lettuce in the United States comes from Souther California and Arizona.  By the time it gets to New England it has lost precious nutrients in the time it has taken to pack, ship, warehouse and distribute.  Furthermore, microgreens can't make that trip.  Microgreens have a 7-10 day lifespan and need to be produced locally.
